Special news for this coming summer's Cheyenne Girls
As members of our Middle Camp, our Cheyenne Girls (typically entering 1st grade) step up into many new activities, along with the regularly scheduled activities enjoyed last summer.
While groups remain small and personal, Cheyenne Girls participate in more advanced swimming and sports instruction, special sports challenges, expanded creative and performing arts programs, and new specialty activities and special events.

SWIMMING AT CAMP HILLARD
Our beautiful 7 heated swimming pools are the place to be! Campers are able to move up from our Junior camp pools to our mid-sized pools to our Olympic-size pools as their ability increases.
Our swim staff provides Cheyennes with an opportunity to develop individual skills in a challenging, safe, and supportive environment.
Cheyennes swim in pools #2, #3, and #4. Pool #2 goes from a shallow end of 3' to a deep-water area of 9', along with a diving board. Pool #3 goes from a shallow end of 3' to a deep-water area of 6', and includes a water slide. Pool #4 goes from 3' to 4' deep.
In addition, Cheyennes are scheduled twice a week for free swim at South Campus Olympic Size Pools #6 and #7. This allows our Cheyennes to experience swimming in deeper pools, dive off a ¾ meter board and have the opportunity to go down our spectacular 135' Water Park Slide.

SPECIALTY ACTIVITIES
• Tennis
Cheyennes take part in weekly small group instruction and play on our bigger courts at South Campus. Our tennis program features properly sized racquets, scaled down courts and specially designed tennis balls and other equipment. Our goal at this level is to develop skills such as the ready position, the forehand, the backhand, and volleying. The program also builds confidence, and creates interest in tennis.
• Miniature Golf
Our one-of-a-kind 9-hole course challenges campers with exciting holes and obstacles such as a hole in which campers must climb to the top of a tower, hit the ball into a hole, and watch the ball travel down the zig-zap flume as it makes its way to the flagstick below.
• OUTDOOR ADVENTURE
Bigger Zip Line, Flying Squirrel and Climbing Wall
Cheyennes graduate to our thrilling Upper Zip Line, a safe and controlled activity in which they walk up stairs to a platform 15' high, and then experience the thrill of zipping down a 200' long cable. Cheyennes also get to experience two other outdoor adventure activities - the "giant swing" called the Flying Squirrel, and our 30ft climbing wall.
• Gymnastics
Gymnastics for Cheyenne Girls includes such camp favorites as bars, the high and low balance beams, vaulting, mini mountain, tumble track, swinging horizontal ladder, ropes, rings traverse, zip line and Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course.
• Golf Skills Center
The Golf Skills Center provides campers with the opportunity to learn golf skills in a fun and successful way. The golf skills center utilizes a program called SNAG Golf (Starting New At Golf), a program that introduces golfers to the fundamentals of driving, pitching and chipping skills. SNAG Golf utilizes special equipment to correctly teach the game of golf in a way that's easier for 6 year old’s and allows success!
• Creative Play
Our unique state-of-the art facility features numerous slides, climbing equipment, and creative play areas which provide campers with a safe and fun experience that they will love.

The THEATER program features special performances combining lines, music, and choreography. These shows are truly a memorable experience for our Cheyenne Girls!
MUSIC is a Camp Hillard favorite. Campers sing popular songs, learn about jazz, rhythm orchestra, listening activities and traditional Camp Hillard songs. Campers also practice their songs in preparation for the annual Tribal Song & Cheer contest. Go Cheyennes!
